Math Lesson Examples
2nd Grade Math lesson-
This lesson was taught in a 2nd grade classroom in the Reading School District. The lesson involved counting coins. The link will be directed to a Power point presentation that was created to go with the lesson. This Power point was projected onto a Promethean board and the students were able to come to the front of the room and work hands on with the technology. This Power point demonstrates my ability to incorporate technology into my lessons. This also proves that I can modify my lessons to ensure that all types of learners are reached.

6th Grade Math lesson-
This lesson was taught in my 6th grade placement at Oley Valley Middle School. The lesson was a part of the chapter on ratios. The students were introduced to proportions. They were given the definition of a proportion and were given example problems for solving proportions. This lesson was taught using an overhead projector. The notes were available for every student to see and the students filled their notes in as I was explaining the information. They completed practice problems with their partner as independent practice. These were then reviewed at the end of the period.
